I am always struck by the amazing hospitality provided by the Bab to Mulla Husayn, even preparing and offering the tea Himself. To me this act seems symbolic of a loving, merciful, kind God inviting all of humanity in the most gentle of ways to recognize Him and to partake of a new outpouring of teachings and spirit and guidance.
It's heart warming to know that God messengers not only deliver the message of God for humanity, They also live it by their deeds and actions. As you point out, the Bab's humility towards Mulla Husayn reflects the humility and Love God has for His people.
But it is very similar to Jesus washing the feet of the disiples. That love from the Manifistation to His followers is so great, that They choose to serve Their followers, because the followers have chosen to serve Them.
Or in the case of Mulla Husayn, the Bab knew that he was going to choose to serve Him.
It is like a parent and child. The parent cares for the child, makes their food, forgives their mistakes, and the child, in return, tries to please the parent. Just the EFFORT of a child trying to make their parents happy is so sweet, that the parent is even more endeared, and more caring etc. (until they are a teenager... then the analogy kind of falls apart. But you get my meaning!)

Not to keep bringing up Bible references...
