Regarding the quotation from Baha'u'llah--"That so brief a span should have separated this most mighty and wondrous Revelation from Mine own previous Manifestation..."--an analogy that has come to mind in the past is the human heart, where the upper chambers "prime" the lower chambers with the first half of the heartbeat, and once those lower chambers are filled and stretched (the stretching of the heart muscle fibers makes them contract more powerfully), they contract for the second half of the heartbeat. When a heart loses that first priming half of the beat, the strength of the second-half of the beat is greatly impaired. It is almost as if the world was "primed", so to speak, by the Revelation of the Bab, preparing the environment for the Revelation of Baha'u'llah immediately following. Also, during the first half of the heartbeat, the blood remains in the heart; the second half of the heartbeat spreads it throughout the entire body. The first Revelation was centered primarily in Iran; the second generated a community that is diffused throughout the entire world.
PURPOSE: To gain spiritual insights into the significance of this Day and the promises it holds for humanity.
Unit Two: The Life of the Bab
PURPOSE: To learn to narrate the story of the Bab's life and gain an apprecation of the potency of hs short and dramatic Ministry.
PRACTICE: Visit a few families and share with them a simple illustrated presentation of the Bab's life.
Unit Three: The Life of Baha'u'llah
PURPOSE: To learn to narrate the story of Baha'u'llah's life and gain an appreciation of the magnitude of the spiritual forces released by Him.
PRACTICE: Visit a few families and share with them a simple illustrated presentation of Baha'u'llah's life.

Very cool analogy, Ramine :)
